RBCC Homecoming Camp
RBC Connections, Riverside's alumni group, offers an exclusive week of camp each summer. This camp is called Homecoming Camp and it serves as an opportunity to reconnect with other former campers and share your stories from your days at Riverside. Enjoy all the camp activities including campfires, fellowship, Bible Study, worship through song, sightseeing, and more.
Schedule
Homecoming Camp begins at noon on Monday, August 5 and goes through Sunday, August 11, after lunch. From Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon, the theme will be "Renew," a seminar and personal assessment for those who are involved in ministries - full-time, part-time, volunteer, in churches, para-church, ministry organizations, pastoring, counseling services, residential care, camps, schools, etc. Everyone is welcome to attend these seminars; those in ministry will find it particularly beneficial and encouraging.
After dinner on Tuesday night, Riverside will host a public open-air concert in Waupaca at the town gazebo to publicly announce the 90th Anniversary of Riverside to the community. "Keepers of the Faith" Quartet, a diverse Southern Gospel family group from Washington state, will be the featured artists.
From Wednesday morning to Sunday morning, the theme will be Riverside's 90th Anniversary - Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Preparing for the Future. The day will start with breakfast in the Dining Hall, Bible Study, and a sharing time before lunch. Once lunch is finished, you and your family can enjoy free time until dinner. After dinner, there will be an evening session followed by a time of fellowship for those interested.
Friday evening, we will have a special concert with Don Shire, a gifted Christian trumpeter with a passion for mission's mobilization worldwide.
The week will end with a combined worship service with Badger Community Church, a church that has had a long history with Riverside. Following the church service, there will be a fellowship potluck meal for everyone. Homecoming Camp will end around 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 11.
*Pets, tobacco, e-cigarettes/vape pens, alcohol, fireworks, and firearms are not permitted.
